The resignation of Iain Duncan Smith reveals a Government in disarray and a Chancellor who has lost the credibility to manage the economy in the interests of the majority of our people - Jeremy Corbyn

labourpress:

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, commenting on the resignation of Iain Duncan Smith, said:

“The resignation of Iain Duncan Smith reveals a Government in disarray and a Chancellor who has lost the credibility to manage the economy in the interests of the majority of our people.

“The Budget has exposed George Osborne’s record of profound unfairness and economic failure. Not only must the cuts to support for disabled people be abandoned, but the Government must change economic course.

“The Chancellor has failed the British people. He should follow the honourable course taken by Iain Duncan Smith and resign.”

Three years ago I had an idea for a film. Then it was called “Third Floor” as it was meant to be happening on the “Third Floor” of a city council building. When I started to talk about this concept three years later, it did not make sense to do it that way.

The only reference point I was drawing from was the film Seven; in fact the female protaganist was called Sommerset based on the Morgan Freeman character Somerset. Both were loners, both wanted to do something else and both had some unfinished business; however I also wanted her to be in love. But I could not work out if her love interest was a good guy or a bad guy.

Up until this point I was acting as the sole writer on this project, but it was clear to me I needed support.

As Kirill (a.k.a Kirk) Didenko was to be the Director for this piece, it meant we began to talk a lot about the work; it was clear that he was acting as a co-writer and his vision for the piece was different from mine but it was thrilling; and so the above mood board was created.

These are a taster of some of the pictures that support what we were trying to do.

I am excited, as I am seeing it slowly coming to life, like a phoenix rising out of the ashes of loss dreams…
